Responsibilities:

• Maintain overall responsibility for the safety and security of assigned areas.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated locations in accordance with established security protocols.
• Identify, assess, and respond to potential security threats or vulnerabilities.
• Accurately complete incident reports and all required documentation following security-related events.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies and incidents, following company policies and procedures.
• Provide assistance to employees and visitors, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Escalate critical incidents to law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Monitor security systems, including alarms and surveillance cameras, to ensure continuous situational awareness.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid PERC Card (expiring 2027)
• FOID Card (Firearm Owner’s Identification)
• Concealed Carry License (CCL)
• Original Firearms Training Certificate issued by IDFPR (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation)
• Completion of 20-hour Basic Security Training
• Valid security guard license for the state of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in security or law enforcement
• Working knowledge of standard security procedures and techniques

Skills & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in high-pressure or emergency situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Physically capable of extended periods of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and carrying equipment
• Ability to perform continuous physical tasks and respond swiftly to incidents

Additional Requirement:

• Must be available to start immediately

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour
