As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, support access points, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to requests, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering welcoming customer service. What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with de-escalation and notification of appropriate medical staff and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital and/or clinic areas, including corridors, waiting rooms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes, observing and reporting unusual activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, help to verify authorization where required, and direct patients, visitors, and staff to appropriate destinations while following location protocols.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate key information to Allied Universal supervision and location management.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 or more years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
