As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling a post-secondary educational institute, located at M5B 1Y2.

Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard

As a Tactical Security Guard assigned to a sensitive educational environment, you’ll be a key player in maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere for staff, students, and visitors.

Duties include:

• Proactively patrolling high-traffic areas by foot
• Responding to incidents and emergencies quickly and effectively
• Enforcing the Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, and site-specific regulations
• Observing and reporting suspicious behaviour or safety hazards
• Assisting in medical emergency response and supporting on-site evacuations
• Conducting site checks, verifying identity, and managing access points
• Writing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting community engagement efforts to promote safety and awareness
• Collaborating with local law enforcement when required

Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard

• Be Authorized to work in Canada
• Must be Use of Force certified with atleast 1 year Tactical security experience
• Must have valid Ontario Security Guard License

• Must have Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification(WSIB Approved)

• Must have experience working with Vulnerable population

• Must be able to commute to Downtown Toronto with no onsite parking

• Working Knowledge of Criminal Code and Trespass to Property Act enforcement

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism

• Strong documentation and report-writing abilities

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for the duration of your shift

• Computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Suite)

• Self-defence, powers of arrest, or EMR training is considered a strong asset
