Job Description

As a Security Officer – Patrol Full-Time Day Shifts in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist with access control and visitor flow, respond to concerns with calm communication, and deliver a welcoming customer experience. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, back-of-house corridors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control and observing for unusual conditions, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, lost and found situations, and/or requests for assistance.
• Document security-related observations, incidents, and/or corrective actions in reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Have loss prevention experience preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
