Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, personnel, and assets. Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by providing first aid or CPR when necessary, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders as required.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating disputes to maintain a safe environment.
• Conduct routine patrols of the premises to identify potential security vulnerabilities or safety hazards.
• Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and logs for future review and action.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing behaviors that could indicate theft or vandalism, and report findings accordingly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
• Strong surveillance skills with familiarity using CCTV systems for monitoring large areas effectively.
• Knowledge of conflict management techniques to handle tense situations professionally.
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining focus on security duties.
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
