THE JOB

The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory is seeking an Assistant Security Manager. The Assistant Security Manager supports the Security Manager in overseeing daily security operations to ensure the safety of guests, employees, artists, and the venue. This role assists with supervising security staff, enforcing policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment by helping guard, patrol, and monitor the premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule violations.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Work in conjunction with the Security Manager, General Manager, and Operations Managers to help ensure compliance with all security-related policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

  • Assist in monitoring and authorizing the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other individuals to maintain the security of the premises.

  • Move throughout the venue and all operational areas to visually monitor activity and take or recommend corrective action when needed.

  • Support leadership by providing feedback, guidance, and recommendations for operational improvements and procedural adjustments.

  • Assist with investigating and resolving security-related incidents or complaints while maintaining positive guest interactions.

  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to help preserve order and protect property.

  • Prepare and assist with reports documenting daily activities and irregularities, including equipment or property damage, theft, unauthorized access, or unusual occurrences.

  • Support the training, supervision, counseling, and discipline of security staff to ensure efficient department operations.

  • Demonstrate CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling efforts, and educating fans on sustainability programs.

  • Partner with fellow team members at the end of events to assist with venue close-out procedures, including collecting recyclables and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricades, and related materials.

  • Assist with organizing and conducting staff meetings, communicating important information, and helping schedule and direct staff work assignments.

  • Participate in regular reviews of security operations and contribute ideas for improving policies, procedures, and overall effectiveness.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security or related supervisory role.

  • Valid Guard Card.

  • Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business or event environment, and enforcement procedures.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and support leadership decisions.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Sound judgment with a high level of tact and professionalism.

  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to support and execute departmental programs.

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs. or more, and occasional sitting.
