Armed Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Officer with previous law enforcement or military experience, and a CCW to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets.

This role requires a highly responsible individual with strong observational skills, conflict management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring activities through surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and responding promptly to security incidents. Candidates with law enforcement or military experience are encouraged to apply, as well as those with certifications in first aid and CPR. This position offers an opportunity to serve in a critical security capacity within a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including medical incidents requiring first aid or CPR
• Enforce security policies and procedures while managing conflicts professionally and calmly
• Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities for record-keeping purposes
• Assist law enforcement or emergency services when necessary during incidents or investigations
• Control access points by verifying credentials and inspecting packages or vehicles as needed
• Conduct loss prevention activities by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism

Experience

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security is highly desirable
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; training will be provided if necessary
• Experience with surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Knowledge of security protocols, loss prevention techniques, and conflict resolution strategies
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and professionally
