JOB TITLE: Security Supervisor- Nights
LOCATION: London, Fenchurch to Shoeburyness including the loop
PAY RATE : £14.09 per hour.
WORKING PATTERN: 12 hours shifts (4 on 4 off 17:00-05:00) overtime available
*Must have a valid driving licence*
THE ROLE:
To supervise all staff (gateliners, security, enforcement officers) day-to-day rail operations, leading on security incidents and issues, liaising with the customer, ensuring smooth running of the contract in accordance with the Assignment Instructions, overseeing rostering and personnel issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all staff and day-to-day delivery of all contracted site security services.
- Ensure Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, Amulet, Churchill Group and client Health & Safety policies and other control measures are adhered to.
- Ensure the highest levels of customer service are maintained by the team at all times.
- Supervise and take the lead on all site security issues, including incidents, accidents, emergencies, and evacuations, supporting and advising members of the security team and client representatives.
- Ensure the team actively and effectively patrol, answer alarms and investigate disturbances, take appropriate action and submit appropriate reports.
- Manage and maintain the contract control room, gatehouse, reception, post room, alarm systems, CCTV/equipment, access/egress control and other contracted security services as required.
- Manage personnel and performance issues including rostering, site induction and training, holidays, absence, pay queries, investigations etc., in line with Churchill Group HR policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the client, building effective working relationships with management, staff, contractors, site tenants and their representatives, to ensure smooth running of the contract.
- Troubleshoot and resolve site issues – blowouts, conflict situations, etc. – in an efficient and consistent way in accordance with company policy, escalating to Amulet Line Manager as appropriate.
Fire and Emergencies:
- Respond to Fire and Emergency incidents in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
- Co-ordinate emergencies and evacuations as directed by site management.
Health and Safety:
- Record and report to Amulet management all equipment faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices.
- Enforce health and safety procedures.
Administration:
- Ensure accurate log books, incident reports and records are maintained by the team.
- Maintain accurate personnel records for the members of the team.
- Provide CCTV and other evidence in the event of an incident on site in accordance with the site Assignment Instructions.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- You are capable of problem-solving, dealing with a variety of situations and are very customer service-focused.
- You have evidence of strong organizational and time management skills
- Can demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
- Vigilant and take a “can do” approach and attitude to all tasks.
- You are computer literate, with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications.
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have a valid Door Supervisor License.
- Possession of a SIA CCTV license is desirable.
- Full UK Driving License is essential
