Security Agent

The Security Agent is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. This entry-level role provides visible presence throughout the property, responds to incidents, and assists in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment in accordance with The Westgate Hotel’s standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises, including interior and exterior areas
• Monitor surveillance cameras and access control systems
• Respond to emergency situations, including medical, fire, and disturbances
• Assist guests and team members with safety-related needs in a courteous and professional manner
• Document and report incidents, suspicious activity, and safety hazards accurately and promptly
• Enforce hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a service-oriented approach
• Monitor entrances, exits, and secure access points as needed
• Support evacuation or emergency protocols as directed

Qualifications:

• Prior security or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Valid California Guard Card (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Valid Driver’s License
