Healthcare Security Officer

Overton is currently hiring for three (3) Unarmed Security Officers in the Pleasanton Area for a local hospital. All candidates for this posting should have a driver’s license and clear driving record as well as be fully vaccinated and be able to perform both a mobile and foot patrol for the duration of their shift. This is NOT an entry level position. All candidates should have 3 years previous security experience.

Pay Rate: $23.50/hr paid weekly; $24.00/hr paid weekly after 90 days

Schedule ( 1) Day/Swing Available:

Thursday – 6a-2:30p

Friday – 2p-10:30p

Saturday – 2p-10:30p

Sunday – 2p-10:30p

Monday – 2p-10:30p

40 hours/week (30 minute unpaid lunch)

Schedule (2) Swing/Grave Available:

Friday – 2p-10:30p

Saturday – 2p-10:30p

Sunday – 10p-6:30a

Monday – 10p-6:30a

32 Hours/Week (30 minute unpaid lunch)

Monday-Sunday – FLEX

(no set schedule but must be able to work days and swing shifts WEEKENDS REQUIRED)

Hard Requirements:

• Must have clean MVR
• Must be Covid Vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated.
• Must pass Drug Test and Background check

Hospital Requirements:

• Be fully vaccinated or willing to complete vaccination process (must have proof)
• For insurance purposes all candidates must be at least 23 years of age.
• 5 years LICENSED Security Experience (Verified through the BSIS/DCA) Preferred but not required
• MVR- Motor Vehicle Record Check
• Mobile Patrol position. Must pass drivers background check. Valid DL required.
• A safe driving record is a condition for employment as a driver.
• Driver must have three or more current years of verifiable over-the-road experience and a valid US CDL
• Candidates cannot have more than 3 tickets or
• 2 Tickets and 1 accident
• No more than1 accident
• No major traffic violations (ie DUI, DWI, DWLS, FMFR)

Job Description:

As an Overton Professional Security Officer you will be a part of a results oriented team responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all our serviced properties. It is expected that you will demonstrate behavior consistent with Overton Security core value of serving, protecting and caring.

Qualified applicants for Security Officer Positions must meet the minimum requirements as described below:

• High school diploma or GED
• Have a current BSIS Guard Card
• Have excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Be computer savvy and have the ability to utilize innovative, wireless technology
• Have flexible and weekend availability
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards
• Must have a neat and professional appearance

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Monitor perimeter fencing for any breaches or damage
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
• Understand when to contact SOC, PD, client or management
• Maintain a friendly demeanor towards employees when arriving or leaving
