Job Description

Job Summary

The Security Manager, Event Operations will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and management of security operations for events requiring additional security officer presence. This role encompasses all phases of event security, from initial planning and risk assessment to on-site execution and post-event review. The Security Manager will act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding security matters, manage officer scheduling and deployment, and lead incident response efforts, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all attendees and personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Event Planning and Risk Assessment:

* Conduct thorough security assessments for upcoming events to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.

* Develop detailed security plans, including staffing levels, deployment strategies, access control procedures, and emergency response protocols.

* Collaborate with event organizers and venue management to integrate security plans seamlessly into overall event logistics.

  • Scheduling and Resource Management:

* Create and manage schedules for security officers, ensuring adequate staffing for all event phases.

Client Liaison and Communication:

* Serve as the primary security contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing regular updates on security matters.

* Conduct pre-event briefings with clients to review security plans and clarify expectations.

  • Incident Response and Management:

* Lead and direct security personnel during critical incidents, emergencies, and security breaches.

* Document all incidents thoroughly, including witness statements, evidence collection, and follow-up actions.

* Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.

  • Officer Supervision and Training:

* Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to security officers during event operations.

* Conduct regular briefings and debriefings with security teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of objectives.

* Ensure all security personnel adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in security management, with a strong focus on event security operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of security principles, risk assessment methodologies, and incident response procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
  • Ability to travel to multiple areas of the Bay-area from Mountain View to San Francisco
