Job Description

Position Summary

The Dedicated Patrol Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of client sites by performing mobile and foot patrols using a company-issued security vehicle. The officer ensures that assigned areas are secure through routine patrols, inspections, QR code scans, and incident documentation, including photo reporting when necessary. The role requires attentiveness, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding company standards of safety and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patrol Duties

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled vehicle patrols of assigned areas using a company security vehicle.
  • Perform foot patrols of buildings, parking lots, and perimeter areas to ensure property safety.
  • Climb stairs and access all levels of buildings as required to complete patrol routes.
  • Conduct thorough interior and exterior inspections of client facilities, ensuring all doors, windows, and gates are secured.
  • Monitor for and report any unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches.


2. Reporting and Documentation

  • Complete all QR code scans at designated checkpoints to verify patrol coverage and timing.
  • Take photographs of incidents, hazards, or site conditions as required for accurate documentation.
  • Prepare detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and maintenance reports using company software or mobile applications.
  • Notify supervisors or emergency services promptly in case of incidents, alarms, or emergencies.


3. Customer and Client Relations

  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients, tenants, or the public.
  • Provide assistance to clients and visitors when needed, such as directions, escorts, or emergency support.
  • Represent the company positively by adhering to all uniform, appearance, and conduct standards.


4. Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance

  • Ensure the patrol vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition before and after each shift.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections (tires, lights, fuel, etc.) and report any maintenance needs immediately.
  • Properly handle, secure, and maintain company-issued equipment, including mobile devices, radios, keys, and safety gear.


5. Compliance and Safety

  • Follow all company policies, client site procedures, and local safety regulations.
  • Adhere to patrol schedules and reporting timelines as directed by supervision.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Participate in training sessions and safety briefings to maintain required certifications and operational readiness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of security or law enforcement experience (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Valid security guard license or certification (as required by local regulations).
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Familiarity with mobile patrol software, QR scan systems, and photo reporting tools.
  • Professional appearance and reliability are essential.

Work Environment

  • Work involves both indoor and outdoor settings, often during nighttime or weekend hours.
  • Exposure to varied weather conditions and moderate physical activity (walking, climbing, lifting up to 25 lbs).
  • Must be available for rotating shifts or on-call assignments as required by client needs.
