Residential Security Officer (Graveyard Shift) – San Jose, CA

Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and alert Residential Security Officer to join our team for a quiet, well-maintained apartment community in San Jose, CA. The primary role is to ensure the safety and security of the premises during overnight hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the property, including parking areas and common spaces
• Lock and secure laundry rooms and other shared facilities at designated times
• Enforce parking regulations (check for unauthorized vehicles, issue warnings or coordinate towing if necessary)
• Monitor for any unauthorized visitors or suspicious activity
• Maintain detailed activity and incident reports
• Respond to emergency calls or disturbances if necessary

Skills

• Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and practices.
• Background in law enforcement or military service is a plus.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential security threats.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
