GSOC Operator
Summary Description
Exlog-Global is looking to hire a client-embedded Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) Operator. The GSOC Operator will support global physical security and crisis management operations. This role monitors security systems, responds to incidents, supports crisis events, and assists with mass communications to employees during emergencies. The position serves as a central coordination point for security events across all client locations worldwide.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Real-Time Security Monitoring: Actively monitor physical security systems including access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance platforms. Validate alarms, assess risk, and initiate appropriate response protocols.
- Security Systems Operations: Operate and support access control and CCTV systems such as Lenel S2, C-CURE, Genetec, and ExacqVision, as well as other enterprise security technologies.
- Threat Monitoring & Intelligence Analysis: Use technology systems, commercially available databases, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and social media platforms to monitor security threats, geopolitical developments, and operational risks that may impact facilities, personnel, or traveling personnel.
- Impact & Risk Assessment: Analyze multiple information sources to determine potential impacts to offices, assets, operations, and staff. Escalate developing risks to GSOC leadership in a timely manner.
- Incident, Crisis & Emergency Response: Assess threats in real time and support coordination, communication, and decision-making during heightened security situations. Participate in crisis bridge calls and coordinate with internal teams and external emergency services as needed.
- Mass Notification & Crisis Communication: Use mass notification platforms such as Everbridge, AlertMedia, or Global Guardian to draft, send, and track emergency and advisory communications. Deliver clear, accurate, and actionable information to personnel during incidents.
- Reporting & Documentation: Research, document, and assist with the creation of detailed security incident reports, timelines, threat assessments, and BOLOs when required. Maintain accurate logs, shift reports, and incident records.
- Travel, Events & Operational Support: Prepare threat assessments and travel advisories for personnel and travelers. Provide security and risk analysis support for special events, operational activities, and sensitive logistical movements.
- Personnel Support & Inquiries: Respond professionally to security-related inquiries, safety concerns, and emergency situations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Policy & SOP Compliance: Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security protocols are followed consistently and in alignment with company policies.
- Additional Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall security mission and GSOC operations.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Current CA BSIS Guard Card.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations quickly.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear instructions during crises.
- Advanced computer and technical proficiency with experience using: Google Workspace (GDrive), Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Slack, ServiceNow or similar ticketing/incident management systems.
- Experience operating or supporting physical security systems such as Lenel S2, C-CURE, Genetec, and ExacqVision.
- Comfortable working across multiple software platforms simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Ability to learn new tools, systems, and software quickly.
- Experience conducting threat monitoring, risk analysis, or intelligence reporting.
- Experience supporting crisis management or emergency response events.
- Familiarity with corporate security environments and global operations.
- Experience in a technology or global corporate environment.
