Concept
A full remodel and rebranding of the decade long lived late craft beer bar, Original Gravity Public House. The new business is a dual concept, with Still O.G. at the front bar (the name being a playful riff on its alma mater Original Gravity), featuring a full DJ set-up spinning vinyl and a bar serving up delicious draft cocktails, canned beers, shots and highballs. Alter Ego Cocktail Club is the dark and mysterious anti-hero bar tucked away in the back of the space behind curtains, which will feature an extensive creative cocktail menu in an intimate dimly lit lounge with seated service and swagger provided by the bartenders. A very creative and complimentary menu of small plates will also be available at both spaces.
Principal Duties:
· Security is responsible for setting up all exterior operations including the line stanchions, ash tray, house rules sign, and door stopper if door is being propped open.
· Ideal candidate is there to be an agent of the business in welcoming guests to the establishment rather than an enforcer meant to keep people out.
· Abiding by the four-point check systems of:
1) Genuine greeting 2) Establish if they’ve been here 3) Check ID’s 4) Explanation of dual concept and service experience
· When establishing if guests have been here, Security should be prepared to provide every approaching patron with our welcome spiel and explanation of two spaces and who to see if they have a reservation.
· Maintains flow of business and knows when to hold the line and how to control the flow of service. Communicates effectively with Management regarding the start and stop of the door flow.
· ALWAYS uses the power of words and persuasion before resorting to physical intervention.
· Maintains open communication with the Food Runners and Management regarding any tables that may need cleaning, or spills on the floor that may need to be wiped.
· Provides support to Food Runner staff in politely clearing patrons out of the way if broken glassware/plateware needs to be swept up/mopped up.
· Keeps the walkways/employee lanes clear and ensures there is a clear line of sight to emergency exits.
· Maintains interior head count and ensures we do not go over maximum occupancy. Accomplishes this through checking guests in and out using a digital counter.
· Ensures all patrons have left the facility at time of close, and politely but firmly presses resilient patrons to be out before designated close time.
· When closing down the bar, is responsible for doing a final check on table cleanliness and wiping down any dirty tables. After tables are cleaned, places bar stools in upside down position on table tops to clear floor of all stools.
· Is CA Guard Card Certified and preforms the functions of his role in abidance to those rules and standards.
Experience Required:
Ideally 3+ years as customer service-oriented Security professional
Certification Required:
ServSafe Certificate, eFoodHandlers Card, or equivalent.
CA Guard Gard / BSIS Training License TFF-1266 or Greater

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
