Unarmed Security Guard

WGS Group, a security company operating in San Diego, California, is actively seeking highly skilled security officers to join their team. They are currently looking to hire Unarmed Security Officers for part-time and flexible positions. The available shifts include swing and graveyard shifts.

Candidates must have the flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.

They provide security services to various clientele, including large corporate properties, executives, churches, casinos, clubs, schools, banks, and residential complexes.

Applicants should hold a minimum of a GED or High School Diploma and be proficient in English, with the ability to read, communicate, and use basic math skills.

US citizenship, a valid Social Security Card, birth certificate, and being 21 years of age are essential requirements, along with fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

Candidates must demonstrate the physical ability to perform the job, which includes constant foot patrol, extended periods of walking and standing, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting up to 25lbs.

Reliability and a strong work ethic are highly emphasized. Security officers are expected to conduct foot patrols for 80% of their shifts and submit documents and reports every 15-20 minutes.

Adherence to established regulations, policies, and procedures is a must. This includes enforcing client and company rules, policies, and expectations as outlined in post orders.

Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in verbal and written communication, including legible report writing, are required. Candidates should be capable of providing exceptional customer service and maintaining professional interactions with both management and the public.

Possession of reliable transportation and a current California driver’s license with a clean DMV record is necessary for patrol duties.

Officers must be confident in implementing potential arrest protocols using appropriate handcuffing procedures and maintaining a cooperative relationship with law enforcement.

A valid California Bureau of Security is required.
