Job Overview
TAP Security Academy is actively seeking qualified Level II & Level III Security Officer Instructors to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals passionate about training and developing the next generation of licensed security officers. As an instructor at TAP Security Academy, you will play a vital role in preparing students to meet the highest standards of security practices and comply with Texas state law.

Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and hands-on instruction to students pursuing Level II and Level III security officer certifications, in compliance with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) standards.
• Develop and deliver engaging, thorough training programs, ensuring students acquire the required knowledge and skills to succeed as security professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and submit training documentation as required by the state of Texas.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and ensure all students are prepared for certification examinations.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in Texas state security regulations and industry best practices.
• Promote a positive, respectful learning environment where students feel supported in their educational journey.

Qualifications:

• Texas Level II and Level III Security Officer Certification (required).
• Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Instructor Certification or the ability to obtain it (required).
• At least 1 year of experience in the security industry or law enforcement.
• Prior instructional experience is highly preferred; teaching or training certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Texas security industry regulations, including state requirements for Level II and Level III security officers.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students in a professional, effective manner.
• Must pass background checks and meet all hiring requirements mandated by Texas law.
