Bombay Bicycle Club has been a San Antonio favorite for almost 50 years. We are a family-owned neighborhood bar and grill and we pride ourselves on consistently providing our customers with fresh, delicious American fare with quality ingredients at a great value.Our busy restaurant and bar has a bustling lunch and fun and friendly happy hour and evening crowd that allows us to offer our staff consistent (fixed) shifts and a competitive income. We provide a fun and supportive team atmosphere with a small family of staff, many who have been with us for years. We are currently hiring for a Part Time Door Person for our busy college night with availability from 9:45 PM-2 AM on Thursday and possible availability for 9:45 PM-2AM on Friday and Saturday evenings on occasion.

Responsibilities:
-Timely arrival to work with a clean and professional appearance
-Check in with and follow instructions of shift manager
-Check ID’s to ensure that each patron is old enough to legally enter the bar by checking each guest’s identification and ascertaining its authenticity.
-Refuse entry to anyone who may be intoxicated
-Deal with difficult patrons in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
-Greeting new patrons and thanking customers for their business as they leave.
-Communicate with staff if there are any issues observed and maintain order as needed.
-Assist staff as needed with set up and tear down duties (returning glassware to bar, taking trash out, etc.)

Qualifications for Position:
-Experience working with a team
-Ability to be assertive and make quick decisions with safety a priority.
-Excellent verbal communication skills
-Comfortable with multitasking and good organizational skills
-Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
-Physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time

Education/Training/Work Experience Requirements:
-High school diploma, or general equivalency diploma (GED)
-Ability to learn quickly
-1+ years’ experience being part of a team
-Demonstrated excellent communication skills
-English/Spanish bilingual not required but an asset upon arrival

Work Schedule:
Part time
Required availability 9:45 PM to 2:00 AM on Thursday with some availability on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Pay: $15/hr

Dress Code: Although we do have a relaxed dress code and provide uniforms, facial piercings or tattoos, nose rings, multiple ear (more than 4) piercings, piercings larger than 1/4 inch in diameter, visible body piercings, ear gauges larger than 1 inch in diameter, ear tunnels, chain ear cuffs and chain ear piercing jewelry are not permitted.
