Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our staff, visitors, and assets. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Duties

• Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect and deter any suspicious activity.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to protect company assets from theft or damage.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
• Manage conflicts with professionalism and de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Provide first aid assistance as needed and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary, maintaining clear communication regarding incidents or concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
• Ensure all security equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions immediately.

Requirements

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention techniques is an advantage.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A militarized background may be beneficial for understanding security protocols.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
