Job Description

***$2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS BASED UPON EXPERIENCE WITH PREFERRED HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE***

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION: n/a
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years of supervisory experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: n/a
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Requires the ability to obtain, and maintain, appropriate state license/certifications for this position.
 Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department;
 Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
 Level II Noncommissioned Security Officer with the Texas Commission on Private Security within 60 days of hire
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
 Texas Security Officer Commission Level III
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
 Ability to perform continuous physical exertion activities (going up and down multiple flights of stairs, standing and walking for extended periods of time, carrying people in emergency situations, etc) as needed.
 Must meet all physical requirements of the job. This could require an annual physical.
 Must be able to perform duties wearing personal protective equipment (Masks, gowns, security-related equipment, etc.), as required;
 Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, as well as an annual background check;
 Effective written and oral communication skills a must (includes using proper grammar and spelling or report writing responsibilities);
 Effective interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner;
 Ability to use initiative and independent judgment;
 Ability to frequently prepare written reports and provide quality customer service;
 Ability to handle both common and crisis situations, calmly and efficiently.
 Must wear Kevlar vest at all times on duty
