Job Summary:

The contract will begin October 3rd, 2024 and end on the 1st of January 2025 (with the possibility of extending). All hires will be evaluated for full-time positions. Availability to start by October 3rd is preferred.

Surveillance Security, Inc. is looking for a committed, professional, and presentable Armed Security Officer to join our team for the 2024 election season. The Armed Security Officer will play a critical role in upholding the safety and security of our government site contracts and their personnel. A strong candidate must have at least two years of experience as an armed security guard or relevant position, hold a current armed license through AZ DPS, and have a valid driver's license.

All posts will be indoors, including a vehicle patrol.

Our client wants 24/7 coverage so we will be hiring for the following shifts.

Day Shifts: ~10 Guards
Afternoon Shifts: ~2-3 Guards
Night Shifts: ~2-3 Guards

There will be varied schedules from 5/8s to 4/10s with potential for overtime.

Duties:

– Conduct regular patrols to secure the premises and detect any signs of intrusion

– Monitor surveillance equipment which includes metal detectors, wanding, and badging

– Vehicle patrols

– Respond promptly to alarms or calls for assistance

– Enforce regulations and company policies to maintain order and prevent misconduct

– Provide assistance during emergencies if needed

– Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when required

Skills:

– Proficient in techniques and procedures as an armed security professional

– Strong understanding of surveillance methods and equipment

– Possess a valid armed license through Arizona DPS

– Excellent skills to handle challenging situations effectively

– Strong ability to de-escalate tense situations

– Experience in customer service

Requirements:

– High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in criminal justice is a plus

– Clean shaven or presentable facial hair, no piercings, and no hand or neck tattoos. Arm tattoos must be covered.

– Must hold a valid armed security guard license through AZDPS (It must not be expiring within 6 months)

– Prior experience in law enforcement or military is preferred

– Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
