Security Officer Job Responsibilities and Duties

· Monitor security surveillance footage and keep an eye on visitors

· Enforce company security policies and legal protocols

· Patrol grounds, buildings, and other areas of responsibility

· Respond to distress calls within the premises

· Report adverse situations to the appropriate authorities when necessary

· Maintain a daily log of irregular occurrences such as property damage, the entrance of unauthorized persons, and other unusual occurrences

· Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic

· Ability to de-escalate situations as well as escalate when necessary

· Remain cool and calm under pressure

Security Officer Job Requirements

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· No criminal record

· Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time

· Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 100 lbs.

· May need to walk or run

· Must be available nights weekdays, and weekends

· Must have reliable transportation

· Well-trained in self-defense

· Good knowledge of basic safety and security protocols

· First aid certification

· Attentive, observant, and alert

· Critical thinker and has problem-solving skills

Preferred but not required:
Possession of a guard card is a plus (We will train and get you licensed; classes held Mon & Tue)

Veteran a plus
Security experience a plus

Pay: $17.50 – $18.50 per hour
