Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a full-time night shift Security Officer.
Responsibilities:
The Security Officer provides security and safety services for the hospital to ensure the protection of the patient, parents, visitors, public and staff as well as the hospital property. Intercedes in criminal activities within legal parameters to assure safety. Acts as a direct liaison in communication with the police, fire and other first responding departments and agencies. Conducts exterior patrols and makes security observations. Provides jump starts and lock out services as needed. Assists in lost and found, key control and other department services.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimally one year security experience preferred.
State driver's license.
International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) required or 20 Hour PERC card
