Security Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Responsibilities
– Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
– Operate and maintain CCTV systems for surveillance purposes.
– Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks.
– Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as needed.
– Implement loss prevention strategies to deter theft and unauthorized access.
– Provide first aid assistance when required and maintain CPR certification.
– Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills.
– Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary during investigations or emergencies.
– Prepare detailed reports of incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.

Qualifications
– Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
– Familiarity with surveillance systems including CCTV is highly desirable.
– Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques.
– Certification in First Aid and CPR is an asset.
– Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
– Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
– Must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $19.50 per hour
