Security Officer Armed (Philadelphia) FT

Our Security Division is looking for ACT 235 security professionals that possess superior customer service skills as they are a prerequisite for employment. Serving our clients is our top priority. We are looking to hire one Full Time Unarmed (ACT 235 Certified) Security Officer.

Candidates must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing, handle several tasks simultaneously and remain composed in emergency situations. Assist persons becoming ill, assist with crowd control when needed and report any unusual activity. Complete incident reports to document all incidents. This position also requires excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills, a valid driver’s license; a criminal-free record and prior security, military or police experience preferred. Excellent physical condition, including full mobility also required. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Degree or working towards a degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent security, military or police experience, preferably in a college/university environment a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of external and internal areas of locations.
• Provide assistance to business owners in emergency situations.
• Keep detailed logs and records of incidents at assigned locations.
• Other duties assigned by ELPS Private Detective Agency, security Division

Required Skills:

• Military or law enforcement background preferred.
• Must have valid ACT 235 certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• A professional appearance and demeanor.
• Able to stand and or sit for extended periods of time.

Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour
