Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a dedicated Security Supervisor to join our team of higher education professionals who are committed to student success.
The Safety/Security Supervisor performs as the shift leader as well as fulfilling the duties of a Security Officer. These include enforcement of all college rules, regulations and policies and complying with all federal, state and local laws. Investigates security/safety incidents, prepares pertinent reports and gathers written statements. Performs both internal and external patrols and provides security escorts upon request. This position enforces college parking and traffic regulations. It interacts with administrators, faculty, staff, and law enforcement agencies as maybe required. The Supervisor informs appropriate staff of all observations regarding safety concerns. It reports to the Assistant Director of Safety and Security. The Supervisor is responsible for all officers assigned to the second shift. The Supervisor is to conduct ongoing training, perform site visits when appropriate and act as the Liaison for the Security Director and Assistant Director when necessary.
Hours: 3:30 pm – 11:30 pm (Varies)

The successful candidate must be an engaging, effective, dynamic leader and team member who will foster collaboration. This individual will be able to demonstrate best practices associated with safety & security measures on a college campus. This individual will also demonstrate a spirit of an independent problem-solver and a strong understanding of the College’s mission and goals. The Security Supervisor will also have a demonstrated ability to encourage, model, embrace, and incorporate diverse thought and perspective of all individuals of various backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives to foster an all-inclusive environment and drive results.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of one (1) year of applicable experience, as well as previous applicable supervisory experience. Must be flexible for scheduling and must work holidays as scheduled. Must be willing to work during inclement weather or other emergencies when the college might otherwise be closed. Must be able to work overtime as necessary. High School diploma/GED or equivalent required; Associates degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education, administrative experience, or technical training is preferred. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and dependable transportation.
