Security Manager

The Security Manager is responsible for protecting our customers, staff and all visitors to our campus, as well as all associated property. Responding to fire and medical calls are a main priority. Assist the residents in order to ensure their safety and comfort, in compliance with established security policies and procedures.

• Monitors and ensures timely information via incident reports or emails of all Priority 1* and 2* emergencies are communicated.
• Monitors and provides inspection forms of all life safety equipment and or needed supplies.
• Trains all Security Staff at time of hire and provides documented ongoing Inservice training throughout the year.
• Responsible for scheduling Security staff and ensuring correct payroll.
• Randomly responds to Fire and Medical Calls to ensure Security staff are responding timely and appropriately.
• Ensures that Security staff are regularly conducting interior and exterior building patrols.
• Assures site security by making sure that only invited guests are allowed entry to the campus.
• Ensures that Security staff regularly performs scheduled checks of building safety and security systems.
• Maintains equipment, in good working order, assuring work area is neat and orderly.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to operate several different types of computer systems, to ensure the safety and security of the campus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must maintain a current state driver’s license, CPR certification.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Ability to work in a fast paced and quick changing environment. Ability to focus on responsibilities and follow established procedures.
