Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing surveillance techniques and conflict management skills to prevent incidents and respond effectively when necessary.

Schedule: Friday & Saturday 9am-4pm, Sunday & Monday 4pm-11:30pm

Pay Rate: $17.25/hr

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises, including access points, to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Utilize CCTV systems to monitor activities and identify potential security threats.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as needed.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary for incident reporting and investigations.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage.
• Manage conflicts effectively, de-escalating situations as required.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Must possess a valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.

Pay: $17.25 per hour
