Armed School Security Officer with School Security Experience (Monmouth County)

A school security officer is a person who will provide security for students, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for patrolling the school grounds, monitoring visitors, and responding to emergencies.

The duties of position may include:

• Patrolling the school grounds and buildings
• Monitoring visitors and checking identification
• Responding to emergencies
• Intervening in disputes
• Providing security for after school events
• Educating students about safety

You will play an important role in keeping our school safe. You will be a visible deterrent to crime and violence, and must quickly respond to emergencies. You will also help to create a safe and positive learning environment for students.

As stated in the header, being a Retired Police Officer is a plus, but not required. Although, if not a Ret. LEO, you must have several years of experience as a Security Officer at a Team Leader – Supervisor role. Background and Work History will be required.

The position will follow the normal school day hour, as well as the holidays and summer schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
