Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities through surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and maintaining a secure environment for all.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR if certified.
• Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials and managing visitor logs.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques to ensure safety for all parties involved.
• Document incidents thoroughly through detailed reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and preventing theft or vandalism.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide support during investigations.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unlawful activity and promote a safe environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security preferred.
• Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or other emergency response training are advantageous.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and effectively.
• Must be physically fit to perform patrols and respond quickly during emergencies.
• Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred but not mandatory for all positions. Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 48 per week
