Fire Guard/Fire Watch

Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Fire Guard/Fire Watch to ensure safety and compliance at construction sites, industrial facilities, or during system inspections. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in monitoring fire safety systems, preventing fire hazards, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive safety measures are paramount. Prior experience in security, system design, or construction inspection is a plus, along with knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting, fire alarm systems, and alarm system sales.

Duties

• Conduct continuous monitoring of construction sites or facilities to identify potential fire hazards.
• Maintain constant surveillance for signs of fire or safety breaches during designated shifts.
• Inspect and test fire alarm systems, sprinkler fittings, and alarm systems to ensure proper operation.
• Document all observations and incidents accurately for reporting purposes.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, or inspection of fire safety equipment as needed.
• Enforce safety protocols and communicate effectively with site personnel regarding fire safety procedures.
• Respond promptly to any fire alarms or emergency situations to prevent damage or injury.
• Support system design assessments related to fire alarm and sprinkler systems when required.

Experience

• Prior experience in security operations or fire watch duties preferred.
• Knowledge of fire alarm systems, sprinkler fitting, and alarm system sales is advantageous.
• Background in construction inspection or system design related to fire safety is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction environments and safety regulations is beneficial.
• Ability to remain vigilant during long shifts and maintain focus on safety responsibilities.
• Certification in fire watch or related safety training is desirable but not mandatory. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to maintaining a safe environment through vigilant monitoring and proactive engagement with fire safety systems. Candidates should possess strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adhering to all safety standards.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 – $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 – 21 per week
