The Center for Community Health, opened in January 2021 in the heart of Park Slope at our NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, sets a new bar in personalized outpatient care – from diagnosis to treatment – by integrating new technologies and innovative clinical approaches to provide the highest quality care and enhance the patient experience.

This 400,000 –square foot, multi-specialty ambulatory center encompasses a Comprehensive Cancer and Women’s Health Center, 12 ambulatory surgery operating rooms and Multispecialty physician practices. Our new state-of-the-art building encompasses three 600 ton chillers, five individual air handling units and Schneider control systems.

Security Officer – Center for Community Health – Evenings

In this role, as Security Officer, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to provide a safe & secure environment for patients, visitors, & employees. You’ll patrol designated buildings, off-site premises & parking lots to maintain order and safety. You’ll be responsible for the enforcement of safety rules & regulations within the facility.

This is a full-time evening shift position 3:00pm-11:00pn including rotating weekends & holidays located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital Center for Community Health

Preferred Criteria:

• One year security experience within a hospital or related medical setting.
• Valid Driver’s License

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 8 & 16 Hour Security Courses.
• Current NYS Security Guard License.
• Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of staring in role and continued BCLS certification required every two years.
• Must be able to write and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and visitors.
• Basic computer literacy.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

$23.42-$24.05/Hourly
