Qualifications:

2+ years campus safety experience
Preferred Experience:
1+ years Private Security, Military or Law Enforcement
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles. Knowledge of security best practices and procedures. Analytical skills and objective observance of situations and quick decision making. Skill in motivating subordinates. Skill in managing situations firmly, courteously, tactfully and impartially. Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills. Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.Working Conditions: May be exposed to the attendant discomfort or elements of serving outdoors for prolonged periods of time in inclement weather conditions, including walking or standing for extended periods while on duty, climbing and descending stairs.. Must possess skills to de-escalate tense situations and remain calm under pressure. Ability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays to meet the needs of the department as well as overtime. Applicants must be in good health and must have and retain physical strength, including the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs., physical stamina, and agility, visual and auditory acuity to perform the essential responsibilities of his position. Applicants must be able to operate departmental equipment, including radios, use hands repetitively, and have the ability to listen and communicate calmly, effectively, and courteously in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
