ARMED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER (Active/Retired Law Enforcement Officer)

Position Vacancy

MG Security Services is seeking an Armed Law Enforcement Officer (Active/Retired Law Enforcement Only) to provide security services for a Medical facility located in Brooklyn, New York.

Applicants must be prepared to perform the following duties and meet the following qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a professional level of service to meet and exceed client expectations
• Diligently patrol the location to ensure the overall safety and security of the facility and its occupants
• Perform duty in proper business attire
• Proactively identify security related issues and take appropriate action to address
• Respond to incidents, conduct preliminary investigations and make required notifications including to first responders, when appropriate
• Prepare Incident Reports, when appropriate
• Assist in emergency management training drills
• Facilitate a “Shelter-in-Place” or an “Evacuation” of the facility in the event of an emergency
• Access control and ensure unauthorized people and vehicle are immediately addressed
• Collaborate with facility management on security related matters

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be a retired law enforcement officer with unrestricted full carry privileges in the State of New York
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard license or be exempt as an active police officer. Maintain appropriate qualifications, certifications, and licenses as mandate by the State of Florida to work as Security Officer while employed by MG Security Services
• Must be able to stand, walk, and climbs stairs for the entire shift
• Must be able to conduct exterior patrols as well as interior patrols with exposure to seasonal elements
• Must have a dependable and reliable attendance record
• Must maintain a drug-free workplace
• Must be customer service oriented and be able to communicate with and direct people entering and exiting the facility
• Ability to prepare written reports based upon incidents occurring at the property
• Ability to make decisions with limited supervision
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Prior Active Shooter training a plus
• Heart Saver CPR & AED certification a plus
