The salary range for this position is $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Position Summary:

Magellan a leading manufacturing company is seeking a Surveillance Operator to monitor and safeguard our facility during overnight hours, weekends, and holidays. The Surveillance Operator will be responsible for monitoring security camera systems, detecting suspicious activities, reporting incidents, and ensuring the safety of employees, property, and equipment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Monitor live and recorded surveillance footage to detect and report any security concerns, suspicious activities, or unauthorized access.
• Conduct virtual patrols of the facility using camera systems and report any irregularities.
• Maintain detailed logs of all security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken.
• Coordinate with on-site security personnel and law enforcement when necessary.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances while ensuring appropriate escalation.
• Assist in reviewing and retrieving surveillance footage for investigations.
• Ensure all security systems are functioning properly and report any technical issues.
• Follow company security protocols and confidentiality policies.

Position Requirements:

• Prior experience in surveillance, security monitoring, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems, security software, and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain alert during night shifts.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and make quick, sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Must be reliable and punctual with the ability to work weekends and holidays.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring multiple screens.
• Comfortable working in a low-light, indoor surveillance room environment.
• May require occasional movement to check on-site security concerns.
