Visual Security Officer

Job Overview:

The Visual Security Officer's primary responsibility is to prevent the loss of company property while maintaining a safe business environment. Support the store’s efforts in providing_ the best customer service_ within a controlled environment so as to ensure maximum sales at the highest profit rate attainable. Under direct supervision and established procedures, the Visual Security Officer observes and reports shoplifters and dishonest employees to the Asset Protection Detectives.

Essential Functions:

• Stay alert at assigned post, observing & reporting all suspicious activity
• Have knowledge of and maintain strict compliance with company policies
• Must be able to stand for six to eight hours per day
• Promote shortage awareness and theft deterrence among associates
• Perform other duties as necessary
• Follow shortage programs and procedures
• Perform these functions in an efficient manner, as directed by the Supervisor
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality

Qualifications: Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college is desirable.

• Completion of Visual Security Officer Training program required upon assignment to position.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $18.50 per hour

• Security: 1 year (Required)
