Job Description

Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for detecting suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. A Security Agent must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The goal is to help the Company to maintain excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence.
  • Carry out emergency procedures when necessary.
  • All Visitors must sign in and show ID at the reception desk before entering the building.
  • At the front desk, the Security Guard will give visitors passes and collect them at the end.
  • Once the guests arrive, the security guards will notify the host and will be escorted to the conference room either by the host or by the security Guard as indicated by the host.
  • Report to the supervisor via email any suspicious activity.
  • Allow or deny access property access to visitors and employees.
  • Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles or people on the property.
  • Enforce rules and regulations related to parking lot violations (speeding, unauthorized vehicle parking)
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and access points.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras, respond to alarms, and check staff and visitors in and out of the buildings.
  • Evict trespassers and violators.
  • Protect assets by monitoring and reporting any breach of security.
  • Secure all exits, doors, and bay doors after operations end.
  • Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts.
  • Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions.
  • Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation.
  • Participate in drills as requested and special projects.
  • Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
  • Have local police and Fire department phone numbers available.
  • Report any behavioral problems observed or reported to the immediate supervisor before they escalate into violent situations.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience as security officer or guard
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

  • Security: 2 years (Preferred)
