Security Guard Supervisor

Job Summary:

IMMEDIATE HIRE

Need responsible, mature security guard Supervisor for evening shift, 3pm-11pm. Must be able to supervise and train guards and complete walking tours of facility (refrigerated warehouse) and outside perimeter of facility, must be able operate a computer system for incoming deliveries at guard booth station. MUST HAVE A VALID NY STATE GUARD CARD AND ABILITY TO STAY AWAKE AND ALERT DURING SHIFT. BRONX, HUNTS POINT LOCATION.
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard Supervisor to join our team. As a Security Guard Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. Your primary duty will be to manage a shift, supervise personnel, report to a site manager, ensure that guards monitor and protect the premises, prevent unauthorized access, and respond to any security breaches or emergencies.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage guards to ensure they conduct the following:

– Wear proper uniform, clock in-out on app based system

– Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure security and detect any suspicious activity
– Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats
– Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises
– Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, including conducting investigations and writing detailed incident reports
– Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional manner
– Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to resolve security issues
– Implement loss prevention measures to minimize theft or damage to property
– Maintain accurate records of daily activities and incidents

Requirements:

– Current NY WGP Security Guard License
– Proven experience (verifiable) as a Security Guard Supervisor or relevant position preferred

– Reliable and trustworthy

– Position is located in Bronx, NY

– Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

– Reliable transportation or ability to utilize public transportation MTA to bx6 bus stop
– Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification is a plus
– Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems
– Strong observation skills with the ability to quickly identify potential security risks
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, visitors, and colleagues
– Ability to handle conflicts or difficult situations calmly and professionally
– Must be physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time

Pay: $19.50 – $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
