What You’ll Do

As an Unarmed Security Officer, you’ll help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and the public.

Responsibilities may include:

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence
• Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas
• Conduct routine foot patrols
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security incidents
• Assist with access control and authorized entry
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Identify unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
• Follow established security procedures and post orders
• Assist employees, visitors, and guests with professionalism
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security awareness
• Communicate security concerns to appropriate personnel

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard Registration Card
• Have reliable transportation or a reliable means of getting to the assigned work location
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Be able to perform assigned security duties in a professional environment
• Meet all applicable licensing and certification requirements
• Be able to successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings
