ARMED SECURITY (Current or Former LEO / Corrections)

Diamond Touch Security is seeking to hire Armed Security Officers who have the ability and credentials to carry a weapon in the 5 boroughs to become an integral part of our team. The selected individuals will perform loss prevention duties, access control, foot patrols, secure assigned premises as-well-as identify risks to staff and patrons.

– Start Date: ASAP

– Shifts Times:

• Monday – Saturday: 4:00pm – 11:00pm (7hrs)
• Sunday: 3:00pm – 10:00pm (7hrs)

– Dress: All black tactical security uniform

– Status: Armed

– Location: Jamaica Queens

REQUIREMENTS:

• MUST be able to carry concealed in the 5 boroughs AND provide valid credentials authorizing you to carry in NYC. (Full Carry Permit)
• All credentials must be current and valid.
• Must have an unexpired "unrestricted concealed carry handgun license (red border), OR an unexpired "concealed carry handgun license" (red border) AND an unexpired "armed guard" card (if not active NYPD or LEO)
• ONLY armed and licensed current/former Law enforcement, Corrections, Peace officers, or former Military will be considered (per client).
• Must have an armed guard card, 8hr/16hr certs etc. (if applicable)
• Retirement ID/creds if applicable (not expired)
• Must be able to work a standing post
• Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation
• Must be able to work outdoors/indoors in various weather conditions
• Must have a well-groomed and professional appearance
• Must have a strong command of the English language

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate initial screening of individuals that enter the facility, including determination if the individual may progress based on set thresholds
• Responsible for the safety and physical security of assigned client property and site location
• Expel person(s) engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Keep business parking lot free from unauthorized vehicles
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Investigation and surveillance support
• Loss prevention
• Patrol premises
• Access control
• Client relations
• Customer service

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $32.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
