Job Responsibilities

As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling hotel premises to maintain order, enforce regulations, and ensure the safety of all guests and associates.

Your specific duties in this role will include:

  • Patrol lobby, corridors, restaurant, lounge and banquet rooms to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, and accidents. Document all findings.
  • Patrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment. Document all findings.
  • Warn or eject troublemakers, and caution careless persons.
  • Obtain assistance for accident victims and write accident reports.
  • Notify staff of presence of persons with questionable reputations.
  • Assist management in emergency situations.
  • Assist with snow removal including brushing off cars, shoveling and salting walkways as necessary.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a self-motivated Safety Officer with a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations. It is also important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal as well as the ability to establish rapport with colleagues.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

  • 6 months to 1 year related experience/training; One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
