Shift: Thursday – Monday, 9:00am – 2:00pm
Summary
The concierge officer will ensure the safety and security of visitors, tenants and employees at Building 77 while providing excellent customer service.
Areas of Responsibility
- Be governed by CPR, Courtesy, Professionalism, and Respect, as well as Customer Service guidelines
- Greet and assist visitors in building, providing a high level of customer service
- Assist with wayfinding and direct visitors appropriately, prohibiting access to unauthorized areas
- Assist visitors with identification cards, visitor passes, and overall speedy access
- Be aware of conditions requiring attention; immediately report any unusual crime, occurrence, accident or hazardous conditions
- Investigate suspicious conditions in the building and Flushing Avenue courtyard
- Maintain activity log and complete daily reports
- Monitor radio and all command station systems
- Become familiar with all computer-based security and emergency systems
- Monitor camera station, elevator banks, fire station, making notifications as needed
- Answer phones promptly and politely
- Maintain general upkeep of security desk
- Review Hot Sheet daily during each shift and check appointment book
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of computers and software programs such as ProxyClick
