Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to safeguard our premises, assets, and personnel. Schedule: Monday-Friday 4PM-12AM

Pay: $18.78/hr

Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to ensure authorized entry.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential hazards or security vulnerabilities.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate conflict management and first aid procedures.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to address incidents or investigations.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for reporting purposes.
• Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and intervening in suspicious behaviors or theft attempts.

Qualifications

• Drivers license is required
• CT Guard Card is required
• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections.
• Knowledge of conflict management techniques and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public.
• Familiarity with security protocols, loss prevention strategies, and legal considerations related to security operations.
