Doorman/Porter

Vacation Relief needed ASAP. The hours and days will vary as there are multiple openings that need coverage. We are seeking relief coverage for doormen and porters for properties located in Riverdale NY (Bronx) and Manhattan. Detail oriented individual to fill the join our team as a relief Doorperson/Porter. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities for Doorman:

• Greet residents, guests, and visitors in a warm and professional manner upon arrival.
• Manage the flow of traffic in and out of the building, ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Handle packages and deliveries, ensuring they reach the intended recipients promptly.
• Assist with resident inquiries, providing information and assistance as required.
• Monitor security cameras and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end residential or hospitality environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting/moving moderate weights.

Responsibilities for Porter:

• Responsible for the maintenance of the property entrances and general upkeep of the building
• Disposal of trash
• Maintain the building common arears clean by mopping and vacuuming as instructed
• Report any issues to management on any type of equipment or material
• Follow all safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards

Experience:

· Experience working in a fast-paced environment

· Knowledge of basic cleaning of building/professional space

· Ability to multitask in a busy environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour
