Security officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems for surveillance purposes.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Conduct thorough inspections of premises and report any suspicious activities or breaches of security.
• Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques while maintaining professionalism.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required and assist in investigations related to loss prevention.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Enforce company policies and procedures regarding safety and security measures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in security management is a plus.
• Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement is preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques.
• First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
