Security Officer –
SMI Security a leading provider in contract security services is seeking professional security officers.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Be at least 21 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possess effective written and oral communication.

Ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.

Valid D license, TWIC Card and Driver License

Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.
Ability to handle crisis, calmly and efficiently.
Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain or heat
Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.

SMI Security is actively seeking motivated individuals to fill a security officer position at our Port of eveglades location.

Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation (no walking or public transportation to/from job site)

Immediate assignment for current valid TWIC holders.

Must possess a valid D security license.

Job duties include Working closely at gates, making sure all trucks coming in or exiting are authorized. Security patrols, vessel gate makes sure only mules go thru and other gates duties. Carrying out day to day instructions.

Must be willing to work outdoors and in an industrial environment.
