Seminole Classic Casino pioneered Indian gaming when it opened as the country’s first large stakes bingo hall in 1979, eventually expanding with gaming machines and poker. The landmark casino is now home to over 1,000 state-of-the-art, newest-title slot machines and other local favorites such as Diamond Lottos, Fort Knox, Pirate’s Loot. The gaming leader also offers 24/7 live table game action with games including Blackjack, Baccarat, Spanish 21, Three Card Poker and many more. Seminole Classic Casino also features the Hollywood Hall entertainment pavilion and the Stage Bar, a full-service bar that features live entertainment nightly. The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external guests. Assists in maintaining efficient overall operation of the Security Department as well as the Fire Command Center. Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Security Department. Implements system to ensure compliance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and company/departmental policies and procedures. Coordinates activities with local and state law enforcement officials. Identifies and controls risks and threats to the safety and assets of the company and its patrons and employees. Responsible for scheduling, training and supervising Security Staff. Responsible for conducting investigations and working with law enforcement officials to ensure resolution.

May include but are not limited to:

  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Reviews all incident reports submitted for accuracy.
  • Communicates with guests and employees a positive manner, both in oral and written form.
  • Writes incident reports and conducts investigations as assigned.
  • Maintains a high level of key control for the facility.
  • Prepares daily work schedules.
  • Evaluates his subordinate’s job duties.
  • Coordinates emergency situations.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Sets up and provides training.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four (5) years of Security Management experience in a high volume casino/hotel complex environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to effectively direct vehicular traffic in parking lots/garage and entrances/exits.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills. Ability to forecast time management needs.
  • Must have industry or job-related knowledge.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
  • Must be able to apply sound judgement in standard, non-standard situations with limited variables involved, and non-standard situations where independent judgment is required and limited guidelines exist.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

As part of Seminole Gaming’s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
