Security Officer (Full-time)

Job Summary:
We seek dedicated and reliable Security Officers to join our team at a luxurious waterfront condominium complex in Aventura, Florida and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English, possess exceptional communication skills, and hold a Class D Security license.

Gatehouse and Rover Duties:

• Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure a visible security presence on the premises.
• Monitor and investigate any suspicious activities or persons on the property.
• Respond promptly to security alarms and calls for assistance.
• Verify the identity of individuals entering the premises to control access.
• Work closely with the gatehouse officer to ensure a secure environment across the property.
• Assist residents and visitors with security-related inquiries and address their concerns.
• Write detailed daily and incident reports documenting any security-related incidents.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries.
• Control and monitor access through the main entry gate of the condominium.
• Verify the credentials of incoming vehicles and visitors before granting entry.
• Communicate effectively with residents, guests, and service personnel to ensure smooth entry procedures.
• Collaborate with the on-foot rover to effectively manage security operations.
• Offer directions and respond to inquiries from residents and visitors as required.
• Enforce parking regulations and assist in managing vehicle traffic within the premises.
• Maintain the gatehouse area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Adhere to strict security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and uphold community security standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and procedures.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions effectively.
• Previous is advantageous.
• Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of surveillance techniques.
• Must have a valid Class D Security License.
• Must speak, write, and read fluently in English.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
