Security Guard/Driver

Job Title: School Security Guard / Driver
Location: White Light Security LLC, Miami, FL
Salary: $17 – $19 per hour (depending on experience and licensing)

Job Summary:
White Light Security LLC is seeking reliable and professional armed security guards to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess either a Class G or Class D security license and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills. The Guards will be responsible for maintaining safety and security on school campuses and events, supporting staff and students, and enforcing security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide security services at school campuses and events.
• Mentor and assist students and staff, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Responsible for the picking up and dropping kids as needed.
• Provide dean support by helping with calls to students or families, visiting homes, or guarding staff and students.
• Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and Post Orders.
• Report any suspicious activities and incidents promptly.
• Attend and complete all required training, including annual training sessions.
• Participate in regular fitness and psychological assessments, as needed.
• Occasional Truancy

Licensing Requirements:

• For G License Guard: Must possess and maintain a Class G license with the Department of Agriculture.
• For D License Guard: Must possess and maintain a Class D license with the Department of Agriculture.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug testing, and fingerprint check with the Florida Department of Education.
• Complete fitness for duty testing and attend necessary firearm assessments.

Equipment Requirements:

• Maintain a .40 caliber or 9mm semi-automatic firearm with at least 3 magazines.
• Maintain a black duty belt with a level 3 firearm holster, handcuffs and case, magazine holster, and appropriate footwear.
• Uniforms (shirts, pants, and hat) and body armor will be provided by WLS.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate of $17 – $19 per hour.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, with shifts based on the needs of the job, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Overtime is available but must be approved in advance by the Security Director.
