Armed Security Guard – Cannabis Retail Facility

Location: Tujunga, CA
Pay Rate : $19.35–$20.00/hour
Start Date: September 1, 2026
8-Hour Shifts:
6:00 AM–2:00 PM OR 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

REQUIRED TO APPLY

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid California BSIS Guard Card
• Valid BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit
• Must meet and maintain all applicable BSIS requirements for armed security
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Professional communication and appearance
• Ability to remain calm and use effective de-escalation techniques

Applicants must have BOTH a valid BSIS Guard Card and Exposed Firearms Permit to be considered for this armed position.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are hiring dependable and professional Armed Security Guards for a new cannabis retail facility in Tujunga.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a professional security presence
• Protecting employees, customers, and property
• Monitoring entrances, exits, and surrounding areas
• Deterring theft, trespassing, and disturbances
• Responding appropriately to security incidents
• Using professional verbal de-escalation
• Completing daily activity and incident reports
• Following company post orders, policies, and procedures
• Following applicable BSIS requirements

EXPERIENCE

Cannabis/dispensary security experience is strongly preferred, but qualified armed security guards with other relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

We are looking for guards who are reliable, punctual, professional, observant, calm under pressure, and able to follow established procedures.
